These photos by Robert Miller (1954), from an inheritance, were once sold by Harm Bouckaert gallery in New York.

Virtually no information can be found about Robert Miller. He worked as a photographer for a while in the 1980s. But it stopped completely.
He is born in 1954, works as a fashion designer.

From research we found the name of the model of the two photos on the next two pages: John Burke, or Sybil Bruncheon as a drag queen.

The Leslie Lohman Museum has eight of his photographs in their collection.
Robert Miller’s oeuvre is probably small.

The photos shown here come from the time when Robert Mapplethorpe created a furore. There is no denying any resemblance to his work. Beautiful photography, probably also rare given the small edition of these photos.
